Server version
Weaviate Cloud (WCD) hosts clusters that run Weaviate.
New clusters
Section titled “New clusters”When you provision a new cluster, Weaviate Cloud uses the latest available version of Weaviate to set up the new cluster.
Updates
Section titled “Updates”Weaviate Cloud automatically updates existing clusters as new Weaviate versions become available. You do not need to trigger updates manually.
A complete backup of your data is created before each update. Clusters with high availability (HA) enabled are updated with no downtime; stand-alone clusters incur a short restart period during the update.
Additional considerations
Section titled “Additional considerations”- Billing: If your cluster's Weaviate version cannot support the billing requirements for your pricing plan, Weaviate Cloud updates your cluster to the current production version or the most recent compatible version.
- Data integrity: If your cluster's Weaviate version has a known risk of data loss or corruption, Weaviate Cloud updates the cluster when a fix is released.
- Downgrade: You cannot downgrade your cluster to an earlier version of Weaviate.
- Dedicated Cloud customers: If you are a Dedicated Cloud customer and you require a specific version of Weaviate, contact your support representative. In some circumstances, Weaviate Cloud can install a specific Weaviate version.
Support
Section titled “Support”If you use Weaviate Cloud (Database cluster(s) or Weaviate product in the cloud) or have a self-hosted support package, open a ticket in the Support Portal or email Weaviate support directly. To add a support plan, contact Weaviate sales.
Use the Support Portal for direct help from the Weaviate team: open and track tickets, and we'll respond in line with your support plan. The Community Forum is open to everyone, and a great place to ask questions, get help with your cluster, and connect with other developers. For all the ways to get help, see the Support overview.
